Not particularly drawn to this case but it is meanwhile more than commonplace that many Thai men resort to monkhood in case of (mostly self-)inflicted trouble. I've come across cases where business deals were not kept (mostly because they cheated) just to get ordained and become Men of the cloth.

Nobody in his or her right mind has any reason whatsoever to do any harm to an honest, teaching abiding follower of Lord Buddha but the last decades saw a sad decay and misuse in monkshood too :-(

Speaking of which; what actually happened to that bloke flying in chartered aircraft from Isan and what happened to the fellow who got caught red-handed in a massage parlour in Brisbane? Just wondering if they got defrocked (and re-frocked themselves lateron again?)

On the private jet monk, yes de-frocked and re-frocked, on the Brisbane monk, don't know. coffee1.gif
