My marriage extension is ending and I am waiting for money from overseas to meet the financial requirements eg 400k baht in the bank for 2 months.

What are my options regarding visas to enable me to stay in Thailand until my money has been in the bank for 2 months?

Thanks in advance!

I am based in Chiang Mai.

Thank you Lite Beer, I thought that was possible but I was just told at immigration that I could only get 7 days!

My wife phoned and was told I could get a 60 day extension, but when I went today they said only 7 days...I'm a bit confused!

You can get a 60 day extension to visit your wife unless you have gotten one before for the entry you have extended for one year. Some immigration officers may not be aware of the 60 day extension and will tell you the standard 7 day line.

See clause 2.24 of Police Order 327/2557 basis for extension of stay.

I was on a O visa from Vientiane had it extended at Udon to do 90 day reporting with an exit permit

Was short of cash at the end of the year stay, so wanted to stay only 3 more weeks to keep the kids in school

Applied for an extension

But Udon would only give me 7 days

Told me to go to Nong Khai

Have now got a multi entry from Savannkhet
