Hi,

Does anyone know how stringent they are about providing a flight ticket out of the country when applying for a double entry tourist visa at Savannakhet, and will getting one after being with a school for the last 4 years be a problem if I have the letter from the school - and where do they ask for the flight ticket - with the application or when you go back to the border?

Is there any chance you can be refused re-entry if you cannot provide the air ticket or were refused a tourist visa at the consulate (thinking of the 7 day thing that would then be available as a UK citizen right?), and what would you do in that case, could you cross the border to Cambodia and re-enter Thailand from there?

Thx for the help.

You will not be asked for a ticket out of the country at the consulate in Savannakhet or at the border.

Only if you were working would you need the letter from the school to show immigration when leaving the country. The consulate will not want it.

The consulate does not care about you being here for 4 years on some other form of stay other than a tourist visa. Only if you had gotten several tourist visas from them would there be a problem.

You will get the visa so you should not be concerned about reentering the country. If you qualify for a visa exempt entry there also would not be a problem entering the country if it was refused.

Not sure what you mean by a 7 day rule.

There is no 7 days rule for a visa exempt entry. You can leave an turn around and come right back unless you are on one already and some crossings will allow more than one back to back.
