Hi, I didn't notice my report date landed on a saturday, so I tried to do the online option, and kept getting security issues regardless of the browser I used.

I can go Monday, (2 days late) and I'll have to pay 500B per day I'm late?

Also, I've just moved address to make things more complicated.

Advice and suggestions please.

  • You're too late to report online.

There is no fine due for reporting 2 days late.

You can report within 7 days after the due date without penalty.

The penalty is not 500 baht per day. It's 2,000 baht if reporting more than 7 days late.

There is a grace period of seven days (due date included).

So you have the whole next week to report.

For the new address you have to fill a dedicated form and deliver some proof of the new address.

Internet reporting: the security warning and other issues are well known in the separate thread(s).

Anyway too late. You have to do it at least one week before due date.

You have 7 days after the report date including that date.to do your report.

The fine for late or not reporting is 2000 baht normally up to a max fine of 5000 baht. The 500 baht is for overstay not 90 day reporting.

Here's an interesting item from https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do

It can be downloaded as UserGuideForNotification90Day_V2.pdf

It is better to keep track of the rules of Thai Immigration at all times during your stay in the country, as failure to file your 90-day report can result in a fine of 2,000 THB, and can be increased up to 5,000 THB once you get arrested with an additional fine not exceeding 200 Baht for each day which passes until the law is complied with.

I did my report today, in and out in minutes. As said by the kind members who advised, no fine for being late. There is time after the report date.

Is failure to report our addresses an 'arrestable' offence whilst holding a valid visa? Not exactly in the region of overstaying is it.

Anyway, I'm back in the green. biggrin.png

Thanks again guys!

Yes you can be arrested for not reporting, but it's only a fine. 4,000 baht plus 200 per day until the report is done.

Max fine for failing to report is 5000 +the 200 Bht day.

I have never heard of anyone being fined the max,

Me neither.

I'm not sure how the max of 5k can is applied as it's 2k for a late fine or 4k + 200 per day if arrested.

I can only assume that someone that missed 3 or more reports would be capped at 5k.

The 2000 baht fine is not etched in stone it is only a immigration policy or procedure. Same for the 4000 baht number shown on the immigration website.

I have read of people being fined the full 5000 baht fine for not reporting that is called out in the immigration act. Never the 200 baht a day part though.
