Gen. Lite Beer Posted October 4, 2015 Author Share Posted October 4, 2015 Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn is paying a 3-day official visit to MyanmarBANGKOK, 4 October 2015 - Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Saturday morning boarded a Royal Thai Air Force airplane at the RTAF airfield in Don Mueang area, to visit the Republic of the Union of Myanmar from October 3 to 6.The Bureau of the Royal Household said the royal visit follows an invitation by Vice President Sai Mauk Kham. While in Myanmar, Her Royal Highness will observe the Dawei Special Economic Zone and visit places of historical importance such as the Shwedagon Pagoda and the National Museum and Archives.The royal itinerary will also take the Princess to visit the Primary School No.15 in Naypyidaw which has been built and developed under the cooperation between the Thai and Myanmar governments.The Princess will also observe the progress of development at two secondary schools in Yangon which have been included as part of the Thai-Myanmar cooperation project to develop the quality of life of children and youths in Myanmar, initiated by HRH the Princess Maha Chakri. He said August’s exports stood at a deficit of 6.69% due to the global economic slowdown. The council expects September’s export deficit to stand at 8.6% and October’s at about 9.92%. If the deficit exceeds the forecast in October then there is a possibility that 2015’s export deficit could reach almost 6%.The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking is to meet on October 6th. Lite Beer Posted October 4, 2015 Author Share Posted October 4, 2015 An army trooper shot dead by suspected militants in YalaYALA: -- An army non-commissioned officer was shot dead by suspected militants in Raman district of Yala province Sunday morning.After being informed of the incident, a police squad, led by Pol Col Lukman Makoh, the superintendent of Raman district, and included members of the explosives ordnance disposal (EOD) unit was rushed to the crime scene, a deserted asphalted road flanked both sides by rubber plantations.They found a white pick-up truck careened out of the road into the roadside. The victim, Sgt Muhamad Seela, 30, was found dead behind the steering wheel. About 200 spent shells of M16 and AK47 cartridges were found scattered on the road and roadside.Police said that the suspected militants, riding on a pick-up truck, trailed the officer’s vehicle after he left the house of his relative in Narathiwat’s Rueso district. Then the driver of the following car sped up until it ran alongside the front car allowing the gunmen on board open fire with automatic rifles.Police said Sgt Muhamad tried to fight back with his service pistol but was overpowered and shot dead eventually.
