With the O-A visa you can get nearly 2 years stay in Thailand with one trip to the border just before it expire. Can you make the 1 year extension of stay (retirement) after the second year also? Or it have to be before the visa expire?

You can get a 30 day extension of your visa exempt entry at an immigration office.
