I've just finished a triple entry visa and I'm looking for another 30 days.

Is it possible for me to go into Laos, Vientiane and come back to Thailand on the same day by land for my visa on arrival of 30 days?

There is no 30 day visa on arrival. You will get a 15 day visa exempt entry unless you are from a G7 country which allows for a 30 day entry.

No problem to do an out/in for a visa exempt entry since you are not on one now.

Visas on arrival are only available to the citizens of a few countries and cost 1000 Bht Not every border post can provide VOA's

Depending on which passport you hold you may be granted either a 15 day or 30 day visa exempt entry.

Not a G7 country!

Therefore only 15 days visa exempt. The 15 days can be extended by 30 days at immigration for a fee of 1900 Bht.

Thank you. I am considering Vientiane crossing in and out in one day. Though I would prefer to do the border crossing in and out of Mae-Sai. Do you think this is possible?

Mae Sai would probably not let you do it. Recent reports are they are not allowing out/ins unless you have a visa.

Chiang Khong is a closer crossing than Vientiane if in Chiang Mai or Chiang Rai.
