Popular Post Sutty
Have been to Amphur today to apply for yellow house book. Before I state the required documents and processes I would like to say what a great bunch of helpful and friendly people work there. Right documents and procedures First needed to go to police station to get a TM 30 (already done with immigration but needed from Amphur) you get full TM 30 back not just the tear off section at bottom officer upstairs in main police station KK is clued up and knows what you need. Documents here is list two copies of everything on list by the way. Passport photo page TM 6 page Relevant visa (extension or non O) page Names of you and parents translated into Thai I used Affirmation i made in Embassy for freedom to marry. Marriage certificate and translation 3 pictures. Wife's I'D card Wife's blue book Process once handed in wait for phone call from Amphur (they said could be up to two weeks) return to Amphur pick up some paper work to take to immigration basically stamped to say you have never had a yellow book before, (they will send it to immigration if you want them too but they say can take up to a month for immigration to process it and advise you take it and do it there and then). Once your at this stage you need to go back to Amphur armed with document duly stamped and signed Along with Head man of Village ( I don't know who if you don't live in a village I'm sure they will tell you) and mother in law they require two witnesses to confirm you do indeed live in village guarantor as they say. I'm at the waiting for documents to take to immigration stage so will inform you when that's done. No idea if this is the same process everywhere it sounds worse than it is as I said at to staff are brilliant. Reason for getting yellow book is on advise from an immigration officer at KK who says it will be well worth the effort in the end!!!!!!
