Addictive?

Featured Replies

Yesterday our internet went down for about 2 h though I grabbed a book instead and try to read.but it hasn't been a good read because every now and then I checked if the Internet is back and phoned the provider more than 3 times.

Though how about you how addictive/ dependable are you to our modern world gadget???

Definitely addicted.

After half a day serious symptoms appear tongue.png

I switch to low speed mobile internet (like 15 Baht for a day) in such a case.

So I don't feel cut off from rest of the world.

Fortunately it happens rarely nowadays.

But what can they do if a wreckless lorry driver cuts the line.

I think smart phones have made it conveniently worse....If a day with nothing planned comes along it's too easy to grab the phone.....Plus I watch sporting events on it too....I have 3 forums I glance at about Thailand (farang crutch?/info/knucklehead watch) + 1 message board for a sport I participate in & 1 motoring 4x4 club.....The sports & motoring ones are the least checked - once a week....

I enjoy reading and read daily....

But it I were to only use a laptop the time online would be considerably less.....

I love those iPads...

iPad for wife, iMac for husband. I get quite miffed when she starts fiddling with my Mac.

addiction and boredom are closely linked.

thailand is boring at times i admit but you adjust to it after a long time here.

I can go a fortnight easily without looking at social media (forums, facebook) if connection isn't available. I like to check out the news and do banking at least once a week though.
