If you want to make it in the US music bizness, it probably helps to be from the US, UK or Australia. I can't think of any offhand that were not.

Actually Enrique Iglesias is part filipino. His mother comes from a very wealthy spanish-mestizo family in the Philippines.

Ofcourse it helps to have a famous father who is a successful singer.
