BANGKOK: -- Live Nation BEC-Tero is poised to host one of the world’s best known superstars – Sir Elton John – live in Bangkok. The legendary singer-songwriter has announced that he will make a very special appearance with his long-standing band in Bangkok on 29 November 2015 at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani.

With the long list of musical bigwigs coming to our shores this year, 2015 is indeed an amazing year for music fans in Thailand, and a live concert from living legend Sir Elton John is an event not to be missed.

Part of his acclaimed “All The Hits” Tour, these concerts are a rare opportunity to be immersed in a curates collection of the best songs from the show master who gave us classic hits such as ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Bennie and the Jets’, ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’, ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’, ‘Your Song’, ‘Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word’, ‘Rocket Man’, ‘Candle in the Wind’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘ I’m Still Standing’ and ‘Sad Songs’.

The “All the Hits” Tour features iconic hits and classic album tracks that trace Elton John’s incredible five decade-long career; It also includes a selection of songs from his highly-acclaimed album, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, which recently celebrated its 40th anniversary with a Deluxe Edition.

I saw him around 1998, just him and his piano. Amazing concert.

Seen him a few times, always a great show. Remember when Billy Joel couldn't keep up with him!

Yes, I couldn't agree more!

I was lucky to see him in 1984 in South Africa - as you say only him and the piano but what an amazing perfomance.

The same year I saw Queen, Rod Stewart and Elton, at Sun City in SA. The Equity ban came in soon after (I think) so there were no (notable) artists touring for many years thereafter. Sadly I missed most of the great acts, thanks to the disgusting SA government.

Eventually, after apartheid was gone, there was a slew of 'long in the tooth' bands who saw an opportunity to get in on 'revival tours' - I saw Duran Duran (1998) and ZZ Top (1996) and they were both well past it... smile.png I always wanted to see Pink Floyd sad.png

May well take the wife to this - anyone know how big the venue is? Are tickets likely to sell out?

So two aged, has beens, Madonna and John will grace Thailand as, probably

can't sell tickets in their respective countries.Maybe Jerry Lee Louis can

find someone to man his wheelcair here !

What a stupid comment; they sell out their shows all over the world, as do many other "aged" performers.

A leading promoter made the comment a few months ago, that the newer performers cannot fill stadiums like the "aged" stars.

Jerry Lee Louis - the piano-playing boxer?

I am very tempted to go and see this... But will it not be full of screaming fag hags?

MOR cr**. More important: Arcadia are coming to BKK in January.

I fancy a bit of this and take the missus along , she's never heard of him

I saw Roger Waters here, back in about 2000 I suppose. Best concert I've ever been.

It's not a huge place, you should get ticks soon if you want a half decent seat.

Screaming fags more likely .

Last time I saw him here it was a really mixed crowd, multiple generations. He is a real showman.

For the other poster talking about newer acts coming, there is a slew of new music, particularly in the rock/alt/folksy genre I would love to see. Alas it may never be. Back in the late 90s we had Bjork one year and Weezer another, and that was it. Both were fabulous concerts. I even saw Radiohead here, in 1992 I believe.

First of all, I doubt you're his type.

Secondly, he's a married man.

Hands off!

Heard a better noise flushing the toilet.

Why can't he just play the piano?

Maybe double up with Richard Clayderman. Not like that, of course.

ladyboy groupies?

Are some people here so idiotically bigoted that they think you have to be a GLBT person to like Elton John's music or that GLBT people all like him? Just because he happens to be gay? Sometimes the idiocy on this forum still surprises me.

Never mind, we now just know the bigoted type of person you are. Be proud of your homophobia.

For all you Homophobes buy the expensive tickets I'm sure any ladyboy will be sitting in the nosebleed seats. A tremendous performance and if you've never seen him give it a go,you will not be disappointed

Good for you! You must have a very musical anus.

OK if we are name dropping I knew the guy in the late 70's and early 80's. Lovely bloke and started out with just an electric piano/organ as a supporting act on the university circuit. Was very shy then and still owes me a drink for taking care of him. From all i read he still seems a lovely bloke. Makes me proud to be a Brit even if our rugby team is sh*te

Where can I buy tickets and how much?

saw elton 2-2 1/2 years ago in bkk. awesome show. he comes out and does not stop untill the end.

well woth the experience, a living legend.

Would rather choke to death on his wig.

Elton John used to stay at the Sebel Town House in Sydney

(an exclusive Hotel) in the early years, i used to work there

catering to his every whim,, those were the days and free

tickets to all the shows, what stories i could tell and oh great

performer, great music with Bernie Taupin.
