Double entry ourist from Vientianne, Laos.

Just thought I would post report.

Received double entry tourist (3 month "must enter before date") in Vientianne on 12 Sept 2015.

No problems.

Noticed thy have a NO AGENTS and NO VISA TOURS sign inside the embassy as well as outside on embassy entrance

They also insist you MUST fill out FULL residence address (place, street name, mail code, and telephone number) of residence or they will reject application sign posted on wall.

As warned before, don't go there on Monday ad it is very busy (but I had no choice}

I guess at least 80% of people looking for visa were Philipp[ines , looking for a Non B work visa. many teachers from what I saw. mostly females.

Had two large buses there from Thailand....over 150 people waiting .... over an hour before embassy opened....in queue.

Other than being crowed, no real problems.

Picked up double entry tourist on the 13th in afternoon reasonably easy as I was half an hour early at picking them up

For my own reasons did this run by Air from BKK flying Lao Air.

More expensive perhaps, but much nicer than by bus and crossing into Laos by bus.

Vientianne airport is nice place to wait if you have to wait for a flight as there are many places to get a Coffee, Beer, or snack while you wait.

Savannakhet is less expensive to do a visa run to, but Vientianne is much more relaxed and enjoyable although more costly.

Guess it depends on which you prefer.

Did you have any Thai visas or stamps in your passport before that? If so, how many, and what kind?

Completely useless report unless you tell us how many visas you already have in your passport
