PATTAYA: -- A 42 year old Chinese Tourist is currently fighting for her life in ICU at a Hospital in Pattaya after she was found at the bottom of a Hotel swimming pool late on Wednesday Night.

Rescue Workers were called to the Eastiny Resort & Spa located close to Highway 7 in East Pattaya and began by administering CPR to Miss Wang Xuemei.

She was found by a Hotel worker who was preparing to clean the swimming pool area when he noticed a towel and pair of shoes next to one of the sunbeds. He turned on the swimming pool lights and saw Miss Xuemei at the bottom of the swimming pool.

crickey ! ........ was there any medicine nearby ? what about her mobile ?

Google Maps lists the place as Permanently Closed.

My advice would be to get her to a good hospital as soon as possible. Some of the hospitals in Pattaya leave a lot to be desired, having just witnessed a friend, in hospital from a motorcycle accident, have heart failure which went unnoticed for 30 minutes !

....no supervision....and the lights were not even on....

...welcome quality tourists....

Quite possibly she went in out of hours.

Heart attack I would think

Sad but I hope she pulls through

Sounds like it. Hope she recovers and doesn't become another statistic.

First it was the Chinese lady zipline fatality in Chiang Mai... Now it's the Chinese lady in swimming pool fatality in Pattaya...

The Chinese consulate/embassy here must be keeping pretty busy these days.

wouldn't have mattered after the first five minutes.

Could also be a suicide, we'll never know. RIP.

"...when he noticed a towel and pair of shoes next to one of the sunbeds."

Hardly the profile of someone who wants to end it all...

Most hotels have notices saying what time the pool closes and as he hat to put the lights on I am assuming the pool was closed...

So my guess she drowned ...or was electrocuted when he put the lights on.
