oncearugge
What do you actually have in the passport? It is not possible to renew visas at the border.

gilo
Actually EJK that is not wholly correct as the visa run company Thaivisa services report someone can get up to 90 days in/out visa exempt at least at the Ban Laem crossing to which they run daily services. In fact for those that get 15 days on the border crossing each of which can be extended by a further 30 days means that currently on that route 6 x (15 +30) = 270 days approx 9 months without a visa - although potentially an expensive way of doing it as 6 extensions is close to 12 k plus the cost of the border runs themselves. Intriguingly those who qualify for 30 days at the border would in fact potentially not be able to stay as long using this method only 3 x (30 + 30) = 180 or 6 months. Either way it would be significantly cheaper for those planning on longer stays to get the (currently available) double TV from Laos. However in/out are at least in a limited way clearly available at some border checkpoints. Edited October 17, 2015 by gilo
