I would like some advice.

My tourist visa is set to expire in about 10 days.

I was going to extend it at the local immigration office, but i am not sure now.

I am hearing things about no more double entry visas. I was planning on going to Laos in Nov. and getting a new 2 entry visa.

However, if the rules have changed, and there are no more 2 entry visas, I think I will have to skip the extension and leave and get the visa before Nov. 13 when the rule is to be enforced.

There has been no official announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about 2 entry visas being eliminated when the METV starts in November. Just a few embassies have posted the METV requirements and are setting their own rules for it.

I would get the extension and wait to see what happens.

sound advice. I guess I will wait a few days to see what happens.

• It's not known yet if Laos will be dropping the double entry TR, but indications from elsewhere suggest it's possible.

Maybe an announcement will be made within the next 10 days. If not I would skip the extension and get a double entry while you know you can.

You'll lose 30 days but gain a net 60 if the double is dropped.
