Any Alternatives To Bumrungrad 4 General Health Care?

Featured Replies

I'm becoming disenchanted with the Internal Medicine Clinic @ Bumrungrad.

Feel like I'm being overcharged and given a run-around by disinterested doctors.

What health problem are you trying to resolve? If you can tell us then perhaps someone can recommend a good doctor who specializes in that field/ailment/disease.

Just need routine care and monitoring for high blood pressure and diabetes, both of which are under control but need medicine renewed every month.

Then perhaps better to find yourself a good endocrinologist to treat those problems, start dealing with a specialist on a one to one basis rather than with an organization? Actually, Bumrungrad has a couple of excellent endo's. Dr Rosanee being one, have you tried seeing her on a scheduled basis rather than a general clinic? Another option might be to find a specialist at a less expensive hospital, perhaps members/Shreyl can recommend one?

A good idea but when I asked to transfer to that clinic they said NO.

Tell them to take a jump, you're the patient and the paying customer. Tell them you're leaving the clinic, end of. Then go and make an appointment with Dr Rosanee or similar. They said no, my goodness me!

Yeah, you're right.

Will try that approach.

Just thought someone might be able to recommend a private doctor as the cost at Bumrungrad is pretty high.

Just for comparison: a consultation with a well respected endocrinologist at a private hospital here in Chiang Mai costs me 300 baht every six months, she's a colleague of Dr Rosanee at Bumrungrad.

If Moderator "Sheryl" doesn't enter this thread shortly I recommend you send her a PM and ask her for the name of an endocrinologist in Bangkok that she can recommend.,

Thanks Chiang.

300Bt is way less than they are charging me for the internal medicine doctors which have ranged from 400 to 800 !!!

Have written her name down and will look into it.
