Supreme Court upholds death sentence for Mayor Tai

"Death Sentence" per se is not an indication of the "civilized status" of a country, imo. I rather think that not having crimes that call for capital punishment in the first place would be a much better indicator of a civilized society.

so you have no problem with a state that believed it has the authority of life and death with it's own citizens?

I have a problem with posters who lack the brain to understand concepts and compare apples with oranges.

So, can you explain that? how is it apples and oranges? you can't, can you?

Just for you:

I am arguing that "not having such heinous crimes being committed at all" showcases the civilized status of a society better than the argument of "having or not having capital punishment". That's the apple.

I am not discussing the credibility of a state that institutes the Death Sentence. That's the orange. Or you going off on a tangent.

Methinks he is going off on a tangelo actually......or is that a tangerine?
