What materials to use for tutoring?

Does anyone have any recommendations for materials to use for one on one tutoring via Skype? (English speaker learning Thai)

Thanks

The lack of responses here reflects the shortage of such materials.

Perhaps the best out there is Marvin J. Brown's AUA series, books 1 to 3, which go from the basics to a reasonably high level. They are written in Thai (for the Thai teacher) and in Roman script plus a few IPA characters (for the student). They are very thorough, if a little dull. A few of the vocabulary items are a little dated, but a good teacher will point that out.

However, why doesn't the Thai teacher know about the available materials? If it's not an experienced teacher, don't expect decent explanations of grammar and pronunciation, and don't expect adequate correction of your mistakes. In fact, you could well be wasting your time since you'll probably develop bad habits in pronunciation which will be very difficult to correct subsequently.

I was looking in learning Thai, and I got into the Thai 101 site. A online school to learn Thai.. I made copies of all the free material online.

I found out later, that the material was very good to teach English too.

The FSI (foreign services institute) Thai course, is a huge free course https://www.livelingua.com/fsi-thai-course.php

Audio plus text, but a bit hard to understand the fast paced male voice, I found. So would be nice to have a tutor to go through it with you. Doesn't repeat things slowly like Pimsleur audio tapes, so not that easy to self-study from.

For something a bit more colorful, some of the L-Lingo lessons are free http://l-lingo.com/en/learn-thai/index.html
