BANGKOK — Harsher punishments introduced last year for foreigners who overstay their visas might be strengthened by the prime minister’s pen as immigration police announced more than 9,000 people were arrested during the past week.

Junta Warns Redshirts Not to Don Red Shirts

BANGKOK — The ruling military junta warned that Redshirt leaders will be held responsible if their supporters go ahead with a plan to wear red shirts simultaneously all across the country Sunday.

Gen Prawit defends the need to keep military temporary prison

Thais in UK and Ireland invited to join Bike for Dad

LONDON, 26 October 2015 (NNT) – The Royal Thai Embassy in London is inviting Thais in the UK and Ireland to join the cycling activity organized for Hos Majesty the King.


According to the Royal Thai Embassy in London, it is holding the 'Bike for Dad' cycling to celebrate the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 88th birthday, which falls on 5 December 2015, in line with the same activity held in Thailand and other countries.

The event will take placeat Lee Valley Velo Park, London, on December 11, 2015; at 10am - 1pm. The bikers are to complete two laps of a 1.5 kilometres course, with the entire length of 3 kilometres.

Interested persons in the UK and Ireland are invited to register for this activity by downloading the application forum on the Royal Thai Embassy London, UK Facebook page, and send the filled-up application to [email protected], or send the application with the words " Bike for Dad' in the bracket to the Thai embassy; from today to 30 October 2015.
