Somtamnication Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I feel safer now with 6 new police spokesmen.
BigBadGeordie Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 So, 6 different versions of the same story, instead of the previous policy of 25 versions! A vast improvement.
canopus1969 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Let’s wait and see if they can put a coherent sentence together before congratulating them.
NongKhaiKid Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 No reason needs to be given for the new appointments as we can guess. All The President's Men, from both points of view.
zaphod reborn Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 It will take 6 of them just to clean up the last month of mess left by Somyot. Whatever happened to that "Aod" fellow who masterminded the last 3 bombings in Bangkok?
jaidam Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 First, spray it with accraglass with a brown dye. Alow to dry and finely sand before buffing with your favourite buffing compund. What that? It's how to polish a turd.
jaltsc Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 "The commissioner of the Royal Thai Police has appointed a new spokesman and five deputy spokesmen of the Royal Thai Police to replace the former team of spokesmen." Do you anyone would buy a used car from someone who looks like that?
Changoverandout Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Will they suffer the same 'foot in mouth' disease as the others?
Lupatria Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 If the general were not so phobic regarding journalists I think in this field he could have found someone who understands the job.
MobileContent Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Let me guess the appointment as Spokesperson must be 350,000 Baht and for the Deputy it will be 200,000 Baht each.
bangon04 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 No reason needs to be given for the new appointments as we can guess. All The President's Men, from both points of view. I am sure they are all receiving intensive training in modern international PR techniques as we wait for their debut. (except the one who is only a Lt Col not a Lt Gen, because he is inferior and therefore not worthy.)
Benmart Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 A spokesperson should be: Personable and well-groomed; Out-going, enthusiastic and confident; Dynamic and an articulate speaker; Aware of attitudes, biases, knowledge and level of sophistication of the audience to be addressed; A good listener, willing to respond openly and sensitively to questions and concerns of media and/or audience; Able to project a strong, positive image; Well informed on topic to be presented; Professional and business-like in demeanor; Calm and relaxed, especially in hostile or confrontational circumstances; Able to think quickly on the spot. Merely wearing a be-medalled uniform is not enough in a free society.
Vandadavid Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Yeah They need it... Unfortunately I was unavailable and my Thai lacks But my shot talking skills are pretty good
klauskunkel Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 No reason was given for the replacement of the former team of spokesmen led by Pol Lt Gen Prawut Thavornsiri. maybe that's the reason: notice the former spokesman directly under the "U"

farangmick Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 They have to replace the spokesmen from time to time. The effort of trying to keep a straight face whilst spouting bullsh*t to the media every day causes enormous stress.
Traveling Sailor Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 I wonder if this new group will be any better at saying, "No comment" about ongoing investigations. My guess is "NOT".
