This may be useful to somebody....

I had to stay in BK for four nights, alone, and in Sukumvith, but I did not wanted to spend so much in hotel.

I found one online called NINE PLACE close to the Akamai Bus Station for 550 THB/night. Soi 42 and Rama 4 Road.

Very small, but clean and modern room, with good bathroom, good AC, telephone, WIFI, and Cable flat TV with English Channels

Easy public transportation anywhere.

Double standard room max 2 adults

A good price but my 3 year old is not a adult !

Good price for basic 20sqm rooms in central BKK, if clean and functioning. How hard were the beds?

Looks like a longish (1km?) walk to BTS Ekkamai (for many, outside of 'winter' months). Were there motorcycle taxis within a short walk of reception?

I want a place with no kids allowed.
