Financial Requirements For 1 Year's Retirement Visa

Hi everyone. My name's Vic and my wife's name is Stevie. We've been here in Chiang Mai for just over 2 months on a multiple entry, 90 day, non-immigrant visa. I'm sure this is an old chestnut but it's not entirely clear to me whether the requirement for a 1 year visa is 800,000B in the bank or 800,000B in a THAI bank. The answer is almost certainly Thai bank but I just need confirmation.
