Dairy products

Featured Replies

Can someone confirm if these words mean 'dairy products/food' in Thai:

AHAN CHAM PHUK NOM (อาหารจำพวกนม)

PHALITTA PHAN NOM (ผลิตภัณฑ์นม)

NOM NOEI (นมเนย)

Thank you for your help.

AHAN CHAM PHUK NOM (อาหารจำพวกนม) - Food of the dairy kind. OK. Should be CHAMPHUAK (one word, extra "A").

PHALITTA PHAN NOM (ผลิตภัณฑ์นม) - PHALITTAPHAN (one word) NOM - Milk products. OK. Guess could include non-edible milk products.

NOM NOEI (นมเนย) - Literally milk/butter. Usually used in the expression ขนมนมเนย - milk butter cake. Not sure if this is the name of a specific type of cake or simply distinguishes bakery-type KHANOM from Thai/Portuguese egg yolk and sugar KHANOM. I suspect this doesn't really mean "dairy" and certainly doesn't seem to include cheese.

Dear AyG,

Thank you very much for your reply.

AHAN CHAM PHUK NOM

Thank you for the correct Thai script (อาหารจำพวกนม). I will enter it as AHAN CHAMPHUAK NOM.

PHALITTA PHAN NOM (ผลิตภัณฑ์นม)

Thank you for that information. I found this description in foodnetworksolution.com. I noticed that it was also in Thai wikipedia, but was not sure exactly what it meant there.

NOM NOEI (นมเนย)

Thank you for that information. It was listed in thai-language.com, as 'dairy products', however when you enter the Thai script, I see that it comes up as two separate words, 'milk' and 'butter'. I will leave this out, as it appears to be describing something else, in accordance with your comments.

Thank you again for your help. Much appreciated.
