Purely a question out of interest. Over the years, I have transferred the equivalent of millions of baht from my UK bank account to my account with Bangkok Bank. These funds were used for business investment and wild parties, not for purchase of a house or condo.

I was never provided with any FET certificate, nor did I request this.

But just suppose that I wanted to export some of these funds. Would my bank issue a FET certificate for a specific, past funds transfer from overseas, if I requested this?

Siam Commercial says if transfer did not specifically mention "TorTor3 requested" then no can do. if the request was made then document has to be issued within 6 months of transfer. mileages with other banks may vary.
