Opened Facebook tonight to many videos and photos of a comet seen in the skies above Pattaya?

Anyone lucky enough to see this??

I wondered what that was, while i was sitting on my balcony the light it created caught my

peripheral vision and made me suddenly turn to see this amazing stream of multi coloured

light for a few seconds then it vanished.

My first thought was, did i just witness a UFO flying past?

I've seen comets flying in the past and they were visible for some minutes but what baffled me

with this one, was the brightness of it, then the speed at which it vanished.

It was seen in Bangkok too (of course).

Maybe I have missed it here in upcountry while sitting at the PC

Over many years I have seen small "shooting stars" but never this big.

Looking at it again in this video just verifies how bright it lit the night sky and momentarily

became daylight, but vanished within seconds.

Nope, those drivers should get a better system with GPS time or the like.

Must have been about 20:35h due to a report from Thai astronomers.

Other dashcam shows 20:37h.

Same websites (not looking like references) say 20:40h.

I tried to find a trustful reference source to no avail.
