PSI Free To Air Set Top Box

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me the default PIN Code for a standard PSI satellite decoder box? My wife has had three installed at a new house and wants me to sort the programming but the MENU function needs a PIN.

The default setup code for most Sat Set Top Boxes is 0000

Thanks, I tried that but the required PIN is just three digits. I have a SAMART box which is four digits 1232 on the MENU function. The PSI website is no help either.

There is a foldout leaflet with each box but no mention of a code.

Can't be less than a million of these in the country!

If three digits, then the other options are: 000 111 123 999

1,000 combinations. Get those nintendo fingers going.

Got a model number on that thing? Is it a Sat DVB-S2, or a Terrestrial DVB-T2?

Programing is auto by download - not aware of any options to sort but have never checked.

Thanks to all, |Found out yesterday with fiddling that the PIN is 0000 (four digits)! If you enter 000 it just sits there but opens as soon as the fourth zero is entered. So, got in a changed the language to English. Even then it took most of the afternoon to work out how to move the wife's favourite channels so that they are first in the queue. The Model Number is 'OK'

Five hundred channels of rubbish!
