Retirement extension renewal

Featured Replies

I have a retirement visa extension that needs to be renewed by 23rd March 2016 at Jomtien, problem is that I leave Pattaya on January 9th and don't return until March 30th, (I work overseas), is it possible to renew it ahead of time in January?, and help and advise will be greatly appreciated.

Nothing specific for Pattaya.

Better be placed in the Visa subforum,

My prediction: no chance.

Have to get a new visa and then new extension.

You're not extending a visa, it's an extension of stay.

At best Jomtien might allow 45 days early for renewal ... about 10 February. By the time you return on 30 March, both your current extension and your re-entry permit will have expired.

So unless you can delay your departure or return before 23 March, you'll be back at square one ... either get a non-imm O visa before returning in March or do a conversion to a non-imm O entry at immigrations after you return and then during the last 30 days of that entry you can apply for a new extension of stay based on retirement assuming you meet the requirements.
