HUA HIN — Love guns? Love using said guns to blow the hell out of the undead? Bored of doing it in countless video games?

Then get thee to Hua Hin, where a sort-of grown up army brat has put a Day Z twist on wargaming at Siam Milsim, a zombie-killing paradise for warnerds and gamenerds alike to rejoice in.

On Nov. 14, nine hours of zombie warfare will play out there at a special “Zombie Infection” event.

The premise, as they say, is simple:

“Rebels have created a virus and are preparing an army of zombies,” it reads. “The world needs you to join our special forces unit, kill the enemies and exterminate the zombies before the virus spreads.”

Is this news or just free publicity ?

Zombies , another invention of americans. How can you justify & satisfy the lust for killing and bloody gore on TV & in movies ?

Why , just make them un-dead monsters and blow them away. From hollywood's unstoppable violence , now to enjoy in Hua Hin.

Oh .. and just to clairify...

"The word zombie--in Haitian it is "zombi"--means "spirit of the dead." Voodoo folklore contends that Bokors, Voodoo priests that were concerned with the study and application of black magic, posessed the ability to ressurrect the deceased through the administration of coup padre--coup padre is a powder that is issued orally, the primary ingredient of which is tetrodoxin, the deadly substance of the notoriously poisonous fou-fou, or "porcupine fish." According to lengend, "a zombi(e) is someone who has annoyed his or her family and community to the degree that they can no longer stand to live with this person. They respond by hiring a Bokor..to turn them into a zombi(e)." (Keegan, www.flmnh.ufl.edu)"

Us americans only sesatonalized it in books and movies.

And who has made, and continues to make millions. Not the Haitians.

Is that meant as a compliment or insult? Yeah, Americans also waited for Haitians to establish the internet too, but they didn't seem interested. Same with PC business. You are really over reaching on that particular American slam imho.

merely passing comment.

Bram Stoker wrote the Dracula novel. (and yes it was make believe)

The US made 'True Blood' and has made multi millions.

edit to add; Bram Stoker was Irish, not Haitian . just want to clear up any potential confusion.

looks like Soi 80 to me. I see them walking around just like that.

wonder how long until headline? "Live ammo accidentally mixed up with blank rounds."

Even blank rounds can kill at close distance. Just wait for that one. Like in paintball no head shots or firing within 5 metres.

Dracula wasn't a Zombie. He dressed better. And he didn't eat the brains.

How can we have a serious discussion if you're not going to check your facts??
