SETV question.

Featured Replies

On the UK Thai embassy website it states that a SETV is valid for 3 months, but on the new fees part of the site is says the SETV is valid for 60 days, does anyone know if you can still extend for a further 30 days at Chaengwattana or is 60 days your lot per visa. I haven't had a tourist visa since 2012, last 2 trips were on a single Non O (marriage) (now divorced) and voa.

I'm in the planning stages of my next trip and I won't qualify for METV if UK Thai embassy insists on finances. Trip hopefully before the end of the year.

4. VALIDITY OF A VISA

- Single entry tourist visa will be valid for 3 months (you must enter Thailand within the validity of visa from the date of issue) http://www.thaiembassyuk.org.uk/?q=node/45

2. Tourist (3 months validity/Up to 60 days/Single) £25 http://thaiembassyuk.org.uk/?q=node/76

In other words:

The visa can be used for entry up to three months from date of issue.

When entering with the visa you get an admission to stay for 60 days.

The admission to stay can be extended for 30 days at any immigration office, 1900 Baht.

Cool, 3 months in BKK and then to Bali, Gili T, Gili Air for 30 days, back to BKK for another 3 months (dependant on obtaining another SETV).
