PATTAYA:-- On Saturday, the new Commander of Chonburi Provincial Police, Police Major General Ampon, led a press conference to announce the arrest of three people accused of pickpocketing foreigners in the South Pattaya entertainment area.

The case began with a complaint filed at Pattaya Police Station in the early hours of Friday by Mr. Ahmed Khalid Mohamed Al Harthi aged 25 from Oman. He had his wallet stolen by two Ladyboy’s on Walking Street and was informed by his credit card company that over 100,000 Baht’s worth of goods had been purchased with his card.

Police were able to arrest one of the suspects, Khun Artit aged 33 on Saturday and he was more than happy to provide the names of two of his accomplices, Khun Akaratasanai aged 33 and another Khun Artit aged 24.

It seems that a high percentage of violence and crime happen in Pattaya. As odd as this sounds, i almost want to go there just to see

What is this photo meant to represent ?

The successful Police arrests ?

6 Police Officers spending time having photos's taken ?

Well done the Police !!

No, its the Chonburi acapella Police choir. A new incentive to bring happiness back to Thailand,, they stand behind the accused and sing in beautiful harmony "You're nicked, you're nicked, you're nicked".

All the while the pics are taken,, they see to have forgotten their straw boaters though..

Yes, and all with matching pink shopping bags. clap2.gif

But seriously, have you ever watched the cashiers at most of these shops? They look like test subjects from a student surgeons lobotomy experiments.

I do not believe this person is guilty. No one is pointing at him.

Haven't you heard the news? They stopped doing that after criticism from Thaivisa members,

Daily occurrence , they'll be back out tomorrow doing the same thing. Does make good news reporting though. Looks like the prod are earning their meager salary.

but the other 47 Ladyboy pickpockets on the active duty rota were given the night off. They are due to be rounded up next Saturday, so the police did not want to disturb them.
