90 day reports for minor children - does child need to be physically present?

Hello all. I have a question about a minor child (well under age 15) who is here on an Ed visa 1 year extension. They do have to do 90 day reports, but does the child personally have to appear at the immigration office or can the parent go and take care of it for the child?

It would seem counter-intuitive for a child to have to personally go when they are supposed to be at school, and it wouldn't make sense for them to have to miss a day of school to make such a report.

90 day report can be made by registered mail and also now online.

Thanks. Even first time it can be done online?

Nonetheless, I am going to immigration office anyway, so would prefer to do it in person if possible. But don't want to take my kids out of school for it.

You can do the reports for the children.

Anybody can have somebody do the report for them. My wife does mine for me.

As Joe said, anyone can do it on there behalf.
