November 11, 201510 yr Egypt releases human rights activistCAIRO: -- Egypt’s military have released a leading investigative journalist and human rights advocate who had been detained under accusations of spreading “false news”.Hossam Bahgat had written a report about 26 officers he’s said had been convicted by a military court of plotting a coup.Its not known if he will still face a trial.Following Bahgat’s arrest, several human rights groups and the United Nations criticised the arrest, saying it was further evidence the government was looking to repress independent journalism and civil society -- (c) Copyright Euronews 2015-11-11
