Mae Hong Son from CM

Featured Replies

At the present state of the road due to a lot of construction work I would not advise taking this ride. Unless of course you enjoy breathing a great deal of dust of course. I drove from CM to MHS last Friday

it is really a mess with a lot of the road torn up and major earth moving at present. After Pai it isn't as bad but they have not repaired pot holes due to future replacement of the highway. There are a few sections that have been replaced and the road is in excellent shape but th ese are few and far between.

Unless you just have to do the loop I would wait a couple of years until the work is complete because this is a major project, when complete the road will be very nice to ride and should be safer

Wow! Cheers for that Moe, yes/no that's not good.

Is that a major reconstruct all the way from CM to Pai, resurface or a just few sections?

Yea,thanks but to late.I did it last we'd and yes it's very bad just glad I have abs, from pai to may hong son the road is good and great in places. Have fun.

Thanks for the warning - this is bloody disappointing! Was planning to take the road next weekend...

Probably still possible if you have the correct bike, hit loads of bad roads on kawa versus last year no problems at all just stand on the pegs and away you go,obviously not so much fun if two up.I personally like some of the bad roads fun fun fun.

What bike was you on op
