I hate to be redundant as I’m sure this question is asked daily. But as of now, is there any problem for Australians to get a 30-day extension visa on top of a visa exemption 30-day stay (so 60 days total) in Bangkok at Chaeng Wattana Immigration Office?

I'm a long-term (6 years) BKK resident who just lost their work permit :-( So I just want to make certain this will work so I can stay on a bit longer to wrap up my affairs.

Yes an Australian can extend a 30 day visa exempt entry by 30 days at CW for 1,900 baht.

Do you already have the 30 day visa exempt entry ... presumably by re-entering the country by air?

If not, you would only get a 30 days visa exempt entry by entering the country by air. It would be just a 15 day entry at a land border, but either could be extended for 30 days at immigrations.
