Chilean passport holder. Visa exempt + tourist visa question

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I have a Chilean passport and an Australian passport. If I enter Thailand on the Chilean passport I will automatically get a 3 month visa exempt.

Could I get atleast 2 in 1 year if i fly in, out and in? (I apologize as this has surely been answered before)

1. Fly into Thailand and get visa exempt (3 months with Chilean passport)

2. When it has finished go to Laos and get a single entry tourist visa + extend at immigration for 30 days.

3. When that ends fly to Australia.

4. Fly back to Thailand after a few months staying in Australia. Get another 3 month visa exempt.

Would this be ok rather than taking the METV visa?

Many thanks!

1. You could do this twice and skip the tourist visa. You can easily do it two times more than that and they will question you about what you are doing.

2. See one.

3/4 Being out of the country for a while would allow you do another 90 day entry.

If it if fits your needs it would be better than the METV.

Thanks again Ubonjoe!

So I could arrive on a visa exempt, when that ends i could get 1 more (back to back say in Cambodia visa run style?)

You can do a border run for another one since the one you will have will be from flying in.

I think you can get 90 days at land border as well for Chilean pp. Can ubonjoe confirm?

I knew someone with Argentian pp and also got 90 days for each entry. That was 4 years ago.

I think I already said that.
