maphraw
Once a new passport is in one's hands, how long does one normally have before one has to go to immigration and have the extension transferred to the new passport? Does one have a few days, weeks? Is there a charge? Can the transfer be made the same day or does one have to pick up the passport the next day? Any documents needed besides the old passport? Thanks. lopburi3
You should have a letter from your embassy requesting such service and will need to fill out a one page form at immigration. Have copies of both old passport data page/entry visa and entry stamp/extensions and new passport data page. No charge and believe all do while you wait. They make notation of original visa/last entry and the extension of stay.
