In the toilets people still stand on the seats (western toilets)

Strange, that. Earlier this week I saw two gentlemen enter a cubicle. (I presume this was to save water so they only had to flush once.) I could see their feet under the door facing each other. Neither of them was standing on the seat. One of them at least sounded rather excited about the water he was saving - panting heavily.

These just don't work. I certainly have no need or desire to shop in such a place. Got plenty of malls high class and low here in the USA. I go to Thailand for the scenery, food, touristy things and of course those lovely smiling Thai ladies. I don't want glitz or glamor. I want my days to be full of shorts, a T-shirt, and comfortable walking sandals, foot massage, oil massage, swimming, napping, etc.
