BANGKOK:-- A 72-year-old woman who faked her death to avoid prison for murdering her son's fiancée has officially come back from the dead.

Juree Jan-ngam, who had been on the run for months, turned herself into the cops on Tuesday and on Friday they cancelled her death certificate, Bangkok Post reported.

Juree had been sentenced to death over the December 2007 murder of Riewprae Chotikarn, who was just two weeks away from getting hitched to Juree's son Wikrom.

Riewprae, who was three months' pregnant, was shot dead along with her assistant in Songkhla.

Juree was convicted of hiring gunman Narin Janchay to kill her son's fiancee, who she disapproved of because she was from a poor family.

So the girl was unacceptable because she was poor and didn't the story last week say she was pregnant by someone else in her fiancee's family ?

Just a normal episode from the Thai soap ' Soi Downton Abbey '.

Already posted three days ago here.

This would make for a great movie. Only problem is no one would believe how dumb and corrupt the people involved were.

So who"s body did she use to prove she was dead?,

or did she just lay very still, and the Dr.,looks at her,

and pronounce her dead, there are a lot of interesting

and important parts of newspaper reports, etc, that you

never really find out about,

Yes they should punish the one who gave out the death certificate too. I wonder if it will happen Thai newspapers are not good in following up things

Surely she'll get bail.

I kind of wonder how she'll get away this time...

Either the victim's soul had been haunting her or the gunman had been extorting money from her till she couldn't handle anymore.

This would make for a great movie. Only problem is no one would believe how dumb and corrupt the people involved were.

Amazing that she came back from dead, she will scare the hell out of other prisoners when they jail her, they will never want to see a thai soap again after doing time with her.

Maybe she could not keep paying the people who were supposed to be looking for her

Give her the needle.....

Give her the needle.....

Did she take up knitting while she was on the run?

Edit: I mean crocheting. Knitting requires needles. Plural.

a wicked old woman who tried to escape the law by faking her death was found guilty of murder she murdered 3 people the girl her unborn child and her assistant and like anyone found guilty of murder she should pay the penalty death by hanging would fit the crime.

How do they know it is her, who was seen at a market, and not a ghost?

very old news coconut. ruminating on eye catching headlines? how you managed to condense this interesting story into 30 words is beyond me... i guess there was nothing else sensational to tweet about
