mraitchison
Is there any secure parking near the KO Samet ferry in Rayong? Don;t fancy leaving the car unattended for a week.

bino
400 baht to gain entry yet? Quite probably... My grandparents and I just got back from Samed. We went over on a speedboat (900 baht for our whole group), which bypassed the gate and landed on the beach in front of the resort. My GF however, came the next day, and paid 40 THB entrance fee for a Thai person, so I would imagine that they are collecting 400 from foreigners. Parking is 60 baht... and they have guards there around the clock. Part of the parking is under cover, and the other part is covered with "sunscreen mesh". If you are there for a week, they will probably park you atthe back of the lot and block your car in with others that are there for a shorter duration, so I wouldn't worry too much.
