Thai ingredients dictionary

Featured Replies

This is not a question about the Thai language, however I hope the forum will allow me to post this here.

I am pleased to advise that after many years work, I have finally completed the dictionary. This would not have been possible without the Thai Visa Forum members. I would particularly like to thank AyG for the incredible amount of help he has provided me with. He has spent endless hours researching on my behalf and also actually helped me get the dictionary on the tracks in the initial stages - recommending that I include the scientific names (when I was debating whether or not to include them), teaching me how to find the RTGS readings, information on the Thai language and culture, etc.

I would also like to thank Pla shado and his wife for all the help they have given me (particularly with the fish entries). They were also kind enough to send me many photos for the dictionary, which I would not have been able to obtain otherwise and a wide variety of information about Thailand and the Thai lifestyle.

Mole also has provided me with detailed information on various words (particularly in the early stages) and I wish to thank him.

There have been many many more members who have assisted me (too many to name) and I wish to thank them also.

I will be linking the photos to the dictionary now and later will enter the final stages of putting the application together. Although it has been checked many times (by myself and a Thai), considering my very limited knowledge of the Thai language, I imagine there could possibly be some errors/amendments needed to be made later and so this will very likely not be my last post.

Again, thank you all so much. Your help has been sincerely appreciated.
