PM Prayut orders immediate improvements of aviation industry

Agency after agency, government sector after government sector... most are incompetently "run" as corruption and nepotism is their wolf in sheep's clothing.

I won't list the agencies, but I do believe they will appear one by one as this countries infrastructure slowly begins to break down... it's catching up to them and now very few care or actually know what to do to fix it.

Using fear is not going to work.

The country is in a vortex of problems, economic and leadership. The outside world is swift to react and they are ruthless.

Lastly, this guy is over is head. He is not country leadership material and he is creating more discontent each day.

Give the PM some credit for acknowledging that problems do exist instead of reading other previous reports that just ignore the report from the FAA. Let's give it a chance and see if corrective actions take place before criticizing his directive. The PM has been engaged more and in the company of world leaders on several occasion now. It appears that he has begun to understand things differently then he may have before. He wants to grow Thailand and understands that the lack of safety will have an adverse affect on Thailand and its economy.

How many chances does he need for you to see?

and today:

still not enough for you to see?? You must be blind or at least, blinded.

It appears that he has begun to understand things differently then he may have before.

Wow...

As I said before...The only way to fix Thailand, allow Farangs Citizenship where they can become police and government officials.

Otherwise, Thai protect Thai.

Great Idea,

Unlikely to happen.

Issue of Pride.

Pride is very important here.

Just imagine the Farang officials accomplish something that the Thais could not.

Weren't these 'immediate improvements' ordered months ago? What happened to the last 'immediate improvements'??? Looks like nothing is being done immediately and nobody is doing any checking to see if anything is being done--immediately or otherwise. Repeat cycle in another few months.

Want to "solve" the problem? Scale back on the cooperation with the Chinese. Otherwise, the next shoe to drop will be a ban on Thai food exports to the US.

You really think this a merely a political act rather than one of the general public's safety?

So, the Thai government waits until the very last second before doing anything about this? Unfortunately it may be much too little, much too late. And the international news stories about this are already doing their damage to Thailand.

People should stop their bad behaviour, but he did not say "outside the US Embassy"

However Turkey has not recieved a downgrade from the US for supposedly trafficking oil for ISIS.

"Orders" That's all a military man like him can do, and he probably actually expects his orders to be carried out. Whenever the military first takes over they can coast for a while and even appear to have created some stability and benefits but the longer it goes the more their limited view of how things work will cause more and more problems.

So there is an ICAO audit, then ten years later another ICAO audit. Result is "ok, you haven't addressed any of the concerns. You have six months or we will red card you (yellow card?). " Six months goes by, nothing happens, so they red card Thailand. Several Asian countries red card Thailand based on the ICAO decision. The US does its own investigation and red cards Thailand. The EU will probably follow suit in a few days. NOW people are gonna get off their ass and fix things?? Do they even understand what is going on? Or do they just dismiss it all as more "farang bah, think too mutt"?

Hey! don't you all realise that he has put an Air force general in charge of Thai Air. After the pilots have gone through 'fighter' training, all will be improved. cheesy.gif

Thai airways has always been run by the Airforce - who basically don't want it and don't have a clue how to do it....i guess the thinking is "It's all planes, isn't it so they must know how to do it, right?"

.

They are still clarifying what "improvements" means.

Once that's sorted, which might take a very long time,

they will only need an other 42 years to clarify what "immediate" means.
