Govt poised to declare achievements on Dec 23-25

BANGKOK, 3 December 2015 (NNT) – The government is set to publicize a summary of accomplishments it has made thus far while various activities are being planned as New Year gifts from the government to the people.

Minister to the Prime Minister’s Office Suwaphan Tanyuwattana revealed that Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha is preparing to chair a conference to announce the works and achievements of his administration since its assumption of office in 2014. The event will take place from December 23rd to 25th.

On the first two days, Deputy Prime Minister for Security Affairs Gen Prawit Wongsuwon and Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs Wissanu Krea-ngam will make their statements concerning matters under their responsibility. Meanwhile, the last day is reserved for Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Somkid Jatusripitak. At the end of the conference, Prime Minister Prayut will give his closing summary.

In the meantime, the premier has assigned related agencies to give New Year presents to the Thai people by coming up with ideas for end-of-year activities. One of the events already in the plan is the overnight prayers at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground.

Will the PM be wearing a Santa suit when he delivers the ' achievements ' as presents to the nation ?

Don't worry about the Ho Ho Ho routine, leave it to the populace to wet themselves laughing.

"sickening" instead of "funnily" should be more appropriate .... (specially for the parents/relatives) thai misery above all....

Why should he bother to make a meeting for this when he is on TV every week gloating the govs achievements? Seems to me a waste of time and money and effort to glorify him as PM and to divert attention on pressing matters.

"The government is set to publicize a summary of accomplishments..."

Maybe I'll have 6 free seconds to tune in and hear the list...and the list repeated.

The achievements should be enlightening coming from someone who seems to suffer from grandiose delusional ideas , the main theme should be something that is important , like a statement of fact about a new improved 25 year planned and costed water supply project , that would be nice instead of having to buy bottled water to flush the toilet...........................................coffee1.gif .

So far this populist government achieved nothing at all.

Economy is lowest ever, foreign investments are lowest ever, and this list is endless....

For many Thai people it will sure not be a merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Attitude adjustments aka slap on the wrist aka Never ever sever jail for the rich, scapegoating Burmese on Koh Tao,.... threatening kids in the universities and school with their military and cybernetic control propaganda, forcing Falang policies out step by step, rugging everything under the carpet

What have they actually achieved thus far?

Seriously ... what has actually been followed through on (all the way, not a few people thrown under the bus like in the human trafficking cases) and can be considered a success?

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that they believe they have three days worth of achievements to talk about.

In the meantime, the premier has assigned related agencies to give New Year presents to the Thai people

This perfectly fits the local mindset of a culture of bribery
