I often visit Thailand for 3-4 months and then fly back to the United Kingdom to transfer cash back to support my wife & child whilst employed and have repeated this process for 18 months or so. With one snag, which is and in my opinion, i'm with a Visa 'O' ''perhaps great'', but really it's in the wifes name and it's invested in Thai Stocks and Shares and some Blue Chip Shares in the UK.

So we've more than enough to make up the 400,000 baht but it spread around. Shares often go up and down! I take on board the fact that the wife can support herself, but I can't really guesstimate how much discretion would be the key factor in getting another single entry Visa 'O' into my UK passport. It's not really for me and it's stressful given the second facile alternative! Whatcha think?

So, taking into account that I often go in and out of Thailand and work primarily to support my family will I be able to apply for a x2-x3 Tourist Visa at the Cambodian Royal Thai Consualte?

A? Immigration Expectations that I should continue to apply for a Visa 'O' are fair, but this Visa 'O' is my first and more so an error! So will the Cambodian Royal Thai Consulate grant me a Triple Toursit Visa given this is fair for my family while I enjoy the remainder of time with my daughter until time 20th November 06' elapses and perhaps with respect I must go work once more in the UK?

B? What You Think People - Should/ Could I continue in November to apply for the Visa 'O'? Can I get by with a print-out of all the portfoilos we have as evidence to suggest we can collectively support ourselves, i'm confused, i've also all the bank statements to show the deposits from my employer whilst I was working back in the United Kingdom, not really much is it, or ist it?

C? Can't find that e-mail for the Cambodian Royal Thai Consulate. Post it once more lopburi3??

Anything that I have read over the years about the Thai embassy in Phnom Penh would lead me to believe that your chances of getting a triple-entry tourist visa issued there are nil, irregardless of your circumstances.

I have some problem understanding the above paragraph.

“fly back to the United Kingdom to transfer cash back to support my wife & child whilst employed”: where is your place of employment, in Thailand or the UK? How long do you stay in the UK between trips to Thailand?

“i'm with a Visa 'O' ''perhaps great'', but really it's in the wifes name and it's invested in Thai Stocks and Shares and some Blue Chip Shares in the UK”: surely, the visa is in YOUR passport and therefore in your name. Perhaps you are talking about money in Thailand that is in an account or in stocks held in you wife’s name.

So we've more than enough to make up the 400,000 baht
The option of an annual extension based on 400K in the bank is no longer available for new applicants under the new rules effective since 1 October 2006.

Forget Cambodia or any other country in the region for a tourist visa valid for more than one entry or a multiple-entry non-O visa. Anyway, since you’re going home to the UK every 3-4 months your best option is to apply for a multiple-entry non-O visa at an honorary Thai consulate in the UK. Application can be made by mail. With copies of your marriage certificate and your child’s birth certificate you should not have the slightest problem getting this visa whenever you apply for it, and as you probably already know it will allow you to enter Thailand as often as you wish until the visa expires a year after the issue date, and on every entry you will get permission to stay for 90 days. You are the ideal candidate for this type of visa.
