Islamist militant kills his mother and wife in Lebanon blast



A suspected Islamist militant killed died along with two members of his family when he blew himself up as the army raided his home in northern Lebanon.

The explosion killed his wife and his mother.

At least another ten people were wounded in the blast including four security personnel.

The security raid was the latest in a series since two ISIL suicide bomb blasts claimed the lives of 44 people in Beirut last month.

I think 'insane' would be OK in Australia, but naming him as an islamist/muslim may get you in some trouble. That would be seen as politically incorrect and possibly racist.

Maybe the police were just 'reaching out', in the interests of being an 'inclusive society'?

It cannot be "racist" as Islam/Muslim is NOT a race, it is a religion, the same as Jews, Buddhists and Christians etc.

It's too easy to label the Islamist Jihadist terrorist movement as insane. It's an ideology rooted in a fundamentalist reading of a major world religion. This would be easier to deal with if it was just a mental health issue. It's much more insidious than that.
