TM7, reasons for extension

Featured Replies

Hi, at the bottom of the 1st page on the TM7 Extension of Stay form, it asks 'reasons for extension'. So if applying for a Retirement O extension, should I write simply ' So I can live here in Retirement' ?

Also the question, 'stay in the Kingdom for another period of..... (365) days, correct?

Seems a bit obvious but just want to be clear on what to write. Going tomorrow!

Reason = Retirement

Period = 1 year

I put reason: retirement

Number of days: 365

I asked the same questions before my first extension

It wouldn't matter whether you put 1 year or 365 days, but extensions based on retirement are given for 1 year and not 365 days. Unlike tourist visa extensions which are granted for 60 days (not 2 months).

I always put "retirement." And yes, 365 days is likekeacceptable.

The TM7 has days on it. I have always put 365 days.

As 2016 is a leap year I'm sure the IO will grant a full year (366 days) and not the requested 365 days. biggrin.png

but I'm not going to be the smart ass who puts 366.....and yes, it's always retirement, period. Even if you still work half the year or heaven forbid trade stocks, etc..There is zero room for discussion..you are either retired, or they will think you need a different visa.
