US official: Iran tested another ballistic missile in November

WASHINGTON (AP) — Iran tested a ballistic missile last month, a U.S. official said Tuesday, describing the second such test since this summer's nuclear agreement. The State Department said only that it was conducting a "serious review" of such reports.

The Crown Prince grants an audience on behalf of HM the King to foreign diplomats

BANGKOK, 9 December 2015 (NNT) - At Dusidalai Hall, Chitralada Villa, yesterday (Dec 8), His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn represented His Majesty the King in receiving members of the diplomatic corps, consular representatives and representatives of international organizations based in Thailand who gathered to offer their best wishes and felicitations to His Majesty the King on the occasion of his birthday, December 5.

In his speech to the gathering, His Royal Highness said he felt sure that His Majesty the King would be gratified by the gathering of the diplomats and thankful for their goodwill towards Thailand and her people. His Royal Highness said he would convey to His Majesty their sincere intention to further enhance the already good relationship between Thailand and their respective countries.

His Majesty, as quoted by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, always had a firm belief that as long as world countries shared a common goal and coordinated with each other in sincere intention and mutual respect, permanent friendship would be established and bring in mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence among them.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was accompanied on this occasion by Her Royal Highness Princess Siriwanwaree.

Princess Sirindhorn on a 2-day official visit to Laos

BANGKOK, 9 December 2015 (NNT) - Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on Tuesday morning took a Bangkok Airways flight at the Royal Thai Air Force airfield in Don Mueang area to visit the Lao People’s Democratic Republic from December 8 to 9.


Her Royal Highness was seen off at the airport by members of the Cabinet, high-ranking members of the armed forces and civil service, members of the Housewives associations of the three armed forces and that of the police, representatives of the Thai Red Cross Society as well as village scouts.

While in Laos, Her Royal Highness will open Lertnimit Building of Learning and Mingmit Sport Center at the School for Orphaned Tribal Children located at the 67th km marker in Vientiane. The Princess is also scheduled to observe the operation of the school and visit royally initiated highland agricultural projects in Paksong City in Champasak Province.

During the 2-day visit, Her Royal Highness will also meet Lao President Choummaly Sayasone at the latter’s residence.

Department of Land Transport aims to reduce road accidents during New Year season

BANGKOK, 9 December 2015 (NNT) – Land Transport Department director-general Sanit Promwong has disclosed that the agency and over 2,000 private units nationwide have organized an activity called "checking automobiles before use for safety reasons” which offers a free check-up service for 20 auto items.

A 100-car caravan to head to Viengxay, the nation’s birthplace
