geovalin
Khmer Times/Srey Kumneth Cambodia’s embassy in Malaysia has rescued four women who say they were forced by brokers to work illegally in unbearable conditions for long hours and little pay, Foreign Ministry spokesman Chum Sounry said in a statement yesterday. They were given food and shelter at the embassy in Kuala Lumpur after going to the mission for help. Two of the women returned to Cambodia on Tuesday and the other two will fly back tomorrow, the statement said. Three of the women were taken to Malaysia, a major employer of Cambodians as maids and other workers, by brokers and the fourth was hired through a recruitment agency, he said. http://www.khmertimeskh.com/news/18527/four-maids-rescued-from-malaysia/
