number6 Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 im sure its been covered before but my ? is - im on my third extension of my retirment visa - no problems - sometimes i leave the country and so dont need to report 90 days since clock starts again - sometimes i simply report at immigration office i get my retirement visa - im due to report soon but have a commitment elsewhere in country (holiday) for a few weeks and dont really want to just go back to Bangkok to report so im not where i normally live im on holiday elsewhere - any problems reporting at any immigration office 90 days or should it be where i get my retirement visa renewed
alex_4000 Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 dont know about that, but you wont have to go to bangkok's 90days office in person anyway, registered mail is what me and many other people do for quite a while here is the boards link: http://www.thaivisa.com/315.0.html well, it wont really give you the details as on what to send where exactly, but i have the (official) list in my office, so will post back later
Tywais Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 I would like to add to the question. If you live in a city that has an immigration office (Chiangmai in my case) and want to use mail to do the reporting can it be sent to Bangkok immigration address?

alex_4000 Posted October 11, 2006 Posted October 11, 2006 this is what the letter says that immigration send me with my last 90 day report's confirmation receipt: "Documents to notify of staying longer than 90 days by registered mail: 1. PHOTOCOPY OF THE PHOTO PAGE OF YOUR PASSPORT 2. PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR CURRENT VISA 3. PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR DEPARTURE CARD (TM.6) 4. PHOTOCOPY OF THE LAST ENTRY STAMP 5. ORIGINAL OF RECEIPT OF NOTIFICATION (IF ANY) 6. ORIGINAL OF YOUR NEW 90 DAYS REGISTRATION FORM. DON'T FORGET TO SIGN YOUR NAME (TM.47) 7. A STAMPED, SELF-ADDRESSED ENVELOPE TO RECEIVE YOUR NEW RECEIPT (10 BAHT STAMP ATTACHED) PROCEDURE: SEND REGISTERED MAIL (EMS) TO: 90 Days Registration Room 206 Immigration Bureau, Soi Suan Plu, South Sathorn Rd. Sathorn, Bangkok 10120 Please allow at least 1 week for delivery of registered mail. Your new form will be stamped as of the expiration date of your old form. Important: Your document can not be processed if you have passed the 90 days limit. You must come to the nearest immigration office or room 206 Immigration Bureau in person to pay fine 2,000 baht. To receive a blank registration form, send a stamped, self-addressed envelope to the address above. Request form TM.47 IMMIGRATION OFFICER TEL. 02-2855142" i think it could hardly be any clearer and easier and it appears it is perfectly ok to send your report by mail from anywhere in thailand. i live in nakhon pathom and have been sending it to suan plu and so have other people i know of from petchaburi. why not request the form tm47 and see if they will send it to whatever place you live. anyway, if in doubt, i recommend trying the phone number!
