Unbelievable dash cam footage of car crash in Thailand

Thaivisa Video

Dash cam footage shows a driver losing control of his vehicle and nearly colliding with another car, before careering off the road in Phu Thap Boek, Phetchabun province in northern Thailand.

As serious as the crash looks, incredibly the driver of the car, along with a passenger escaped with only minor injuries.

Think the person in the black car was quite polite to crash the car over the railing instead of crashing into the white SUV cowardly 'running off'.

But it was a flash...darn; maybe the white car driver didn't even realize what happened.

Edit: At least the dash cam driver stopped and might have a helping hand???

What an absolutely flaming idiot. He will be awarded the worst driver of 2015. Did he not see the approaching curve in the road? Was this a simple IQ issue, a lack of training, or utter mindlessness? He got his 15 minutes of fame. But, what a thing to be famous for.

Why are you 3 posters so far so quick to criticise? The white car was on a sharp bend and on double lines and unable to get off the road because of the cement barrier. He/she was possibly moving around the bend to a safe place to park. Give them the benefit of the doubt.

I am not sure the airbags and other safety features in cars nowadays are such a good idea. They allow the utterly selfish moron driving this black Honda to survive and go on and have another crack at killing other innocent road users.

Nope. He drove off.

I have never seen anyone think about parking in a safe place here in LoS.

I don't know how many posters here know that part of the country but the winding hill roads there are dangerous if speeding down. The black car appears to going much to fast (common here) while going up the hills one usually has to use the lower gears.

I live about 30 kms from there and the numbers of people coming here in these cooler months means only one thing, more unnecessary accidents such as this.

The area is becoming overwhelmed by people,as usual a lack of sanitary, waste facilities and poor roads means this unspoilt area is rapidly becoming a free for all.

The General sent some people up here a few weeks back to address the situation,as of yet I see no change.

In fact the road from route 12 to Phu Tab Berk is under construction being widened from two lanes to four.

Expect many more problems, accidents and news stories in the coming months.

Terrible shame, the same thing happened and continues to happen in neighbouring Khao Khor, wonderful lands being destroyed by greed, corruption and a complete lack of education and awareness for ones surroundings.

Judging from the condition of the top of the concrete barrier, the Honda is not the first car over the wall in that location. Bad drivers and dangerous roads make for likely accidents. I have driven over the mountain from Pattaya to Korat and back many times and there is ALWAYS at least one moron who drives as if he is on a racecourse. Darwin's theory gets a good workout on these roads.

Everyday it's like that in thailang : give a credit and buy a car, doesn't matter you know or not to drive important stay sell a cars, good taxes, good for "economy", never forget Thaîland is a second country in the WOLD for people died on the road, and you know the first place is for tomorrow with this style to see the things. Ok You want a video like that, you can do 100 per day, it's really pity, when a thai people need to have a real licence to drive? when they will stop to phone and more SMS? Really i'm Terrified, drive in thailand it's like you play a russian roulette....

Think some of the posts here, as well as the "sneaking off" SUV, clearly show to what low "civilisation" did sink in the past years...

You are right.

Yes.

They probably parked further up the road, then came back to get the lottery numbers.

"Think the person in the black car was quite polite to crash the car over the railing instead of crashing into the white SUV cowardly 'running off'." In Thailand, if you have to stop each time you see a coward crashing a car, you cannot be safe.
