Putin orders tough action on Syria threats

Nothing like being a dictator until your time's up. Adovcating dictators and dictatorship must be fun too, guessing at how much the right's heroes might be worth.

Gaddafi's $200 billion didn't save him ending up face down in a ditch with a bullet through his head.

Here anyway are some pretty reasonably based calculations.

According to Los Angeles Times the late Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi had “secretly salted away more than $200 billion in bank accounts, real estate and corporate investments around the world before he was killed.”

Bashar al-Assad has amassed fortune of up to £950m, analysts estimate

Syrian president's assets are thought to be held in Russia, Hong Kong and offshore tax havens to spread risk of seizure risk of seizure

Hedge fund manager Bill Browder, once the largest foreign investor in Russia, estimates Russian President Vladimir Putin's wealth at $200 billion — which would make him by far the richest man in the world.

"After 14 years in power of Russia, and the amount of money that the country has made, and the amount of money that hasn't been spent on schools and roads and hospitals and so on — all that money is in property, Swiss bank accounts, shares, [and] hedge funds managed for Putin and his cronies."

Capitalism lifts all boats. Sure Putin is rich. But his policies created value.

Look at the western asset stripping years before Putin.

The economy of the Chekist Putin is a wreck with no improvement forecast and we get a chart of Putin's sexual history instead.

GDP is minus 5 percent. Inflation is 20%. Interest rates are mid teens. Tuff man Putin used to budget based on oil at $100 a barrel but he's going now into his second year of budgeting for oil at $50 a barrel. That's but one indication of the shock that has hit the Russian economy with sanctions seriously aggravating the whole of it.

No more tomatoes either since Putin cut them out of imports from Turkey. laugh.png

Ruble is a rubble. Assad is Putin's only foreign friend for life which for Assad may not be much longer. Putin turned his pal Erdogan into a bitter enemy as only Putin can do.

So now we get another Zero Hinge Hedge type of off the wall chart that has nothing to do with anything. clap2.gif

Be sure btw to let everyone know when Putin has finally won his war in Syria. Putin doesn't know it yet but he'll spend Christmas 2016 in Syria bombing rebels too. His only route of escape is to sign something in Geneva before too much longer.

This chart is from the US sponsored IMF. So now to the racist Russiophobes, real GDP does not matter. In fact, nothing matters at all.

Nevermind the fact that Russia's main export is natural gas and not oil. Nat gas didn't even recover after 2008. Yet lets keep spreading the "end of Russia" propaganda.

It's beginning of the end of Russia.

Yes.. Turkey with it's useless army will do the job, haha

It's second front for Putin. Do you remember the main Hitler's mistake? It's second front.

If Putin will continue his shit, he will end like Hitler. If Putin will not continue his shit, he will be isolated from the World except North Korea.

Just in case you missed some latest headlines, Turkey has been pissing off a number of people including Iraq and Iran

If your beloved Turkey does not pull its head in and fast,, kurds will acquire some of latest weaponry, and hence Turkey can hardly deal with hardly armed Kurds, they may struggle even more to deal with very well armed onesthumbsup.gif

Hitler was sure in his victory too. And Hitler had much better army and ally than Putin.

The Russian economy data in my post are fact and true.

Putin fanboyz cannot change the facts by their arbitrary and summary pronouncements..

Trying to deflect away from the facts of the Russian economy changes nothing of it.

Putin is only as strong as his budget which is half what it used to be.

Putin had just finished his speech to the meeting of the Defense Ministry saying it's time to get tough....again.

So we have this little big deal of the Russian destroyer machine gun firing on a fishing boat from Turkey. Now that's tough. laugh.png

But that's not all.

The other day a Russian Navy transport ship was "met" by a Turkish Navy submarine with a Coast Guard ship alongside it as the Russian navy ship passed through the narrowest part of the Dardanelles.

Two Turkey Navy subs have started keeping nearby company with the Russian Navy cruiser Moskovy which is the flagship of its Black Sea fleet and is off the Syrian coast.

Turkey is a peninsula which means water on three sides. It has 14 submarines in its 221 ship navy to include five subs that just finished an upgrade in June. Ankara has a new troop and vehicle carrier ship in the works that can be converted to an aircraft carrier.

The Turkey army is no joke either.

There are differing understandings of the Montreux Convention of 1936 and the Bosphorus and Dardanelles in Turkey. Moscow says the convention means Turkey can only close the straits in a time of war. Ankara says the convention allows it to close the straits to (Russian) naval ships if Ankara declares it is under a foreign military threat.

If the little pest Putin gets too pushy, he could find his navy blocked off and backed up to the Crimea which is where the 'master' caused his present troubles to begin.
